Ginger is produced from the root of the ginger plant, which thrives in humid (sub-)tropical climates. It is likely that it was first cultivated in Southeast Asia more than 3000 years ago.
Duva's ginger is imported from China, a country with centuries of experience in ginger cultivation. This is a strong ginger, and adds a delicious spicy touch to our products.
We also work with stem ginger from the Fiji Islands, which is harvested young. This candied ginger has a mild flavour and soft texture, which may appeal to a wider range of customers.
